You have just reached the launching point for the Corante Hubs - the place where great minds meet!

Corante Hubs are web “destinations” for readers who are interested in staying abreast of the latest developments in specific fields. Corante Hubs will be launched in our core content areas – marketing, law, web technologies, science, and media - and will grow from there.

Based on a new publishing paradigm, Corante Hubs provide editorial drawn from a variety of sources – including the independent blogs authored by Corante Network Contributors – and original commentary and reportage created by dedicated Hub editors. Corante Network contributors are respected and renowned bloggers in their field of expertise who have agreed to have their blogs tracked, cited and synthesized by our section editors, and syndicated through our hub.

What can you expect when visiting the hubs?

When you visit one of our hubs, or if you subscribe to one of our hubs - you can expect to find a rich collection of expert content and fascinating conversations on the topics of marketing, law, web technology, media and sciences.

Section features and components:

• A human-edited section that digests, contextualizes, and points to the best and most relevant blog posts, news articles and other items of interest.
• A machine-aggregated section that pulls together and republishes, in merged, chronological form, the RSS feeds of all contributors tied to that Hub. This feature will allow users to reconfigure and republish and have ability to accommodate feature additions, e.g. kharma/ratings metrics.
• Social software elements and features including: tag clouds, local and global tag archive pages, conversation tracker, related posts, recent trackback and comment features, top ten lists, etc.

The Corante Hubs were designed on the premise that as information is increasingly becoming an abundant resource and attention is increasingly becoming a scarce resource - you will subscribe to people instead of subscribing to content. With this in mind, we recruited a network of existing top-notch bloggers in the areas of marketing, media, law, web technology and science, to act as your filter for what’s important to you in those fields.

These experts will continue to blog on their own blogs. At the Corante Hubs we will aggregate their content and enhance it with technology to help you track “conversations”, and find related content. We also recruited knowledgeable editors who are editorialize what happens on the network - sometimes making connections that you may have missed , sometimes taking the topics in a broader context.
